The Vermont Castings Intrepid Wood Burning Stove combines traditional American cast iron styling with proven wood burning technology. Compact yet distinctive, the Intrepid has a timeless appearance that makes it equally suited to traditional fireplaces and contemporary interiors.

Designed exclusively for burning wood, the Intrepid features a robust cast iron construction and a generous viewing window that provides an attractive view of the flames. Its classic styling, available in finishes such as Matt Black and Bordeaux, gives the stove a distinctive character, while the high-temperature ceramic glass and air control system provide practical everyday performance.

The Intrepid is designed to make refuelling straightforward, with the option to load wood from the front or through the top-loading door. A thermostatically controlled primary air supply helps regulate combustion, while the secondary air system supports cleaner and more efficient burning. The stove also incorporates a removable ash pan for convenient cleaning.

With a nominal heat output of approximately 4.9kW and an efficiency of around 80.2% on the current European Flexburn version, the Intrepid is well suited to smaller and medium-sized rooms. The stove has a 150mm (6 inch) flue connection and can be installed with the flue exiting from either the top or rear, offering flexibility when planning your installation.
